  Is it necessary to prepare a Preventive-maintenance-procedure in ISO?

As you know, in ISO 9001 2015, preparing of preventive maintenance procedure is not required but, in clause 7-1-3, determining, providing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary for the operation of its processes to achieve conformity of products and services is required.

For this purpose, the organizations should have a preventive maintenance strategy that requires conducting the following steps:

• performing;
• measuring and monitoring;
• control of effectiveness;
• corrective action.
