ISO Manual

What is the ISO manual?

An ISO manual is a document that describes the structure, documentation, scope of the management system, processes, policies, objectives, and management approach in an organization’s management system.

Is it necessary to prepare a manual?

As you know, the new versions of ISO standards do not require a manual, but the organization documents a manual for use as a reference in implementing the management system.

What does a manual include?

Generally, the manual includes the following topics:
Description of organization

Description of the organization contains the history of the organization, Founder of the organization, company sites, company location, management structure, products or services, mission, and vision, and Macro goals.

Scope of the management system

At the scope, the organization defines system boundaries, including deleted clauses, markets, product portfolios, and processes.

Management system processes

The manual also describes management system processes through a process map that includes activities, documents, inputs, outputs, communications, indicators, acceptance criteria, responsibilities, and monitoring and measurement periods.

Internal and external communications

The manual determines the internal and external communication based on the turtle diagram:
what;

Procedures

The manual sets out the procedures and instructions required to perform the processes.

The relation of the manual with the clauses of the ISO standard
